How can Hong Kong improve its regulatory and monetary institutions to maintain its competitive edge, and at the same time, provide this advantage to PRD’s future development?

2.15-3.30 Breakout Session D: Aviation, Logistics and Transportation in the Region

The recent opening of Baiyun International Airport has a profound effect on the region’s transport and logistics industries, which have traditionally gravitated to Hong Kong. But that is rapidly changing with Baiyun attracting more direct flights from Europe, Asia and America, and its likely selection as FedEx’s new regional hub after 2007.

This session will facilitate a broader discussion about how Hong Kong’s traditional role as the region’s leading logistics centre is likely to change.
